Half a century ago, African American Gay clubs in the Big Apple were playing an amalgam of Afro-Latin Salsa, American Soul / R'n'B and Caribbean rhythms for their dancers. This wasn't being done anywhere else in the world. It quickly moved to other Gay black dance venues in the Eastern U.S. A few years later White & Mixed N.Y.C. clubs picked up on this novel dance trend. These popular Black music forms melded much later into what the world would come to call Disco. Disco, with its blithesome, bouncy, joyful, brash and convivial souls dancing in clubs across the world every night to the music we here at WAGRadio regularly programme. The playlist Gay Black America introduced to us all.

We also feel that when we are long gone, future peeps will discover the wonderfulness of what we've been trying to accomplish here and laud it as it should be - commended, complimented, eulogized, noted, praised and extolled (damn, this new Roget's 21st Century Thesaurus in Dictionary Form recently purchased is good! - Gawd bless Value Village).
